DISPATCHER




PRIMARY PURPOSE & FUNCTION:



Maintain safe and effective control and coordination of all equipment, materials and personnel between shorebases and job location. Must maintain liaison between customer, shorebase and various vendors.

Cameron, LA Fourchon, LA Intracoastal - Abbeville, LA Venice, LA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES



Supervise control and coordination of vessel loading and unloading, coupled with the movement of personnel. Maintain compliance of all HSEQ standards and regulations for base and yard personnel. Maintain proper completion and filing of all paperwork and legal documents as required. Must keep up to date information on all operations to share any logistics movement. Must be aware of drilling operations to forecast any movements. Must supervise all yard and base personnel to expedite material, transport, and cranes to ensure vessels and all transportation is turned around in a timely manner in accordance with customer's requirements. Performs other related duties as required and assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES



Communication skills, both oral and written. Knowledge of drilling equipment and drilling operation. Utilization of resources used in logistic operations. Minimum of one year involved with shorebase operations. Must have high level of safety awareness. Must have leadership skills. Basic computer skills are required. Must have ability to plan and coordinate work effectively. Must be willing to work schedules according to job requirements. Must be a team worker and self motivated.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE



High school degree or equivalent is preferred.

Additional training may be required in order to meet company or customer standards or expectations.

Materials Expeditor, Loading and Unloading Crews, Vendor Deliveries, Marine Crews, and Helicopter Pilots
