Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented

Crude Oil Dispatcher

to manage and coordinate the transportation and logistics of crude oil shipments. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced transportation management systems and strong analytical skills to ensure the safe and efficient movement of crude oil, fleet operations, and supply chain activities. This role requires excellent communication, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage dispatch operations with precision and professionalism.

4 on 4 off hybrid schedule

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and Schedule

: Plan and schedule crude oil deliveries and pickups using transportation management systems.

Route Planning and Optimization

: Utilize GPS technologies for optimizing routes and ensuring timely, cost-effective, and safe transportation of crude oil.

Fleet Management

: Manage dispatch operations for fleet vehicles, track shipments via GPS, and maintain accurate logs for compliance and operational purposes.

Effective Communication

: Coordinate effectively with drivers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure seamless dispatching and timely resolution of issues. Maintain a professional phone manner in high-volume call setting.

Data Analysis & Reporting

: Analyze transportation data to identify operational efficiencies and resolve issues in logistics processes.

Documentation

: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to dispatch activities and shipment tracking.

Fleet & Freight Coordination

: Assist with transportation planning, fleet management, and the coordination of crude oil delivery schedules to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements

Previous experience with transportation management systems preferred. Strong understanding of GIS and GPS technologies, supply chain logistics, and crude oil transportation practices. Experience managing fleet operations, dispatching vehicles, and coordinating freight movement. Familiarity with crude oil shipping & receiving procedures, including compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Strong communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure, multi-line phone environment. Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for identifying and solving operational issues. High typing speed with accuracy in data entry tasks. Experience is not required but it is preferred.

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
