Dispatcher
Auto House Inc. in Galva, Kansas is seeking a dispatcher for our towing company.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00p.m

Key Responsibilities:

Dispatching:

Receive and process service calls from the public, police, and insurance companies.

Assign the correct tow truck and driver to each job based on location, service needed, and driver availability.

Use dispatch software and GPS to monitor driver locations and job progress in real-time.

Key skills and qualifications:

Manage and coordinate tow truck operation by receiving service requests, assigning drivers, and ensuring timely customer assistance. Responsibilities include answering calls, using dispatch software to track drivers via GPS, providing real-time updates between drivers and customers, and managing administrative tasks like record-keeping and customer service inquiries.

Essential Skills:

Communication: Strong verbal and phone etiquette skills are crucial for handling a wide range of interactions calmly and professionally.

Computer proficiency: Must be comfortable using dispatch software, GPS, and other computer applications.

Time management and organization: Ability to multi multitask and manage a high volume of calls and tasks efficiently, especially under pressure.

Problem-Solving: Must be able to think quickly and make sound decisions in stressful situations.

Geographical knowledge: Familiarity with the service area is helpful for efficient dispatching.
