Duties

Coordinate and dispatch freight shipments Utilize GIS and GPS tools to monitor vehicle locations and optimize routing Manage shipping & receiving operations, including scheduling pickups and deliveries Maintain accurate data entry related to dispatch activities Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and customers Oversee fleet management activities, including vehicle assignment and maintenance scheduling Analyze logistical data to improve transportation efficiency and reduce costs Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during dispatching processes Handle inquiries related to freight status, delivery schedules, and shipment documentation

Skills

Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, and transportation planning tools DAT experience is a must Experience with logistics coordination, shipping & receiving, and fleet management Excellent analysis skills for route optimization and supply chain efficiency improvements Effective communication skills for interacting with drivers, clients, and internal teams Skilled in data entry with high accuracy in fast-paced environments Familiarity with freight operations and transportation management best practices Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
