Working Schedule: Monday through Friday / 12:00am - 8:30am. Hourly Pay Rate: $25.50 per hour.

Dispatch Coordinator/Truck Driver

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for collaborating with the warehouse managers, coordinators, and transportation manager in the planning, directing and maintaining efficient transportation operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Coordinates multiple shipping needs between Raleigh and Clayton. Works to organize loads and routing schedules for efficiency. Collaborates with Transportation Manager in scheduling of all drivers. Works with internal and external customers to resolve any issues. Ensures the accuracy of all assigned orders, data entry, and documentation. Ability to follow procedures and written instructions . Resolves any assignment discrepancies immediately. Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse. Performing duties that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Ensures all equipment is operational and ready for the next day deliveries. Checks outbound shipments and readiness for customer delivery. Performs additional duties as directed. Ability to stand and bend frequently.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School Diploma or GED required from an accredited educational institution. Candidates must possess a CDL A license and 1 year of experience operating a tractor-trailer and a safe driving record within the past three years. (Must be willing to drive a tractor-trailer when necessary). 2-4 years prior transportation experience working in a distribution center. Knowledge of DOT regulations.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Very strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills Working knowledge and experience with computers Must adhere to all safety rules and requirements Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment. Work under pressure with tight deadlines in a fast paced, team environment.

SCHEDULE:

Ability to work daily and/or weekend overtime.
Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
