Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are washed, sanitized, and ready for use, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and kitchen floors by sweeping and mopping as necessary. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooks. Ensure that all items are properly stored after washing to prevent contamination. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation. Participate in regular cleaning duties including deep cleaning of kitchen equipment and areas as assigned.

Experience

Previous experience in food service environments such as restaurants, hotels, or catering is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Experience with banquet service or culinary operations can enhance your application. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration with kitchen staff.
