Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Food Preparation Worker to join our team in delivering high-quality culinary services. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and support the overall food service operations includes dishwashing. This role is vital in ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen environment, whether in a restaurant, hotel, catering, or banquet setting. Prior experience in food handling, catering, or hospitality is preferred to ensure the highest standards of safety and service.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards Assist with food plating and presentation for various dining occasions, including banquets and catering events Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to adhere to health and safety regulations Support food service staff by bussing tables, refilling supplies, and ensuring timely delivery of meals Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures Assist in cooking tasks under supervision to develop culinary skills and support kitchen operations Contribute to the setup and breakdown of banquet or catering events as needed Ensure all food preparation areas are organized and stocked with necessary supplies

Skills

Experience in food preparation, catering, or banquet settings preferred Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices Ability to perform basic cooking tasks and assist with food assembly Strong organizational skills with attention to cleanliness and detail Excellent teamwork skills; able to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers Previous restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience is advantageous Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting or bending Hospitality background including serving or catering experience is a plus
