We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team! In this role, you will be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring that all food items are prepared efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Shift timings:-
Monday 9am to 2pm
Tuesday 5:30am to 12pm
Wednesday 5:30am to 1:30pm
Thursday 5:30am to 2pm
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
Handle food prep tasks such as chopping, slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients with precision and care
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of ingredients and supplies
Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation standards to ensure a safe dining environment
Support the culinary team in cooking basic menu items and completing meal preparations efficiently
Manage food handling procedures, including proper use of knives and kitchen tools, to ensure safety and efficiency
Contribute to menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and prep needs
Assist with catering orders and special event setups as needed
Serve food in a timely manner during meal service, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
Experience
Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
Background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service provides a strong foundation for success in this role
Familiarity with food industry standards, including food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices
Kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment such as restaurants or catering services is preferred
Demonstrated culinary skills including knife proficiency, meal preparation techniques, and basic cooking methods
Knowledge of menu planning processes and food service operations enhances your ability to excel here
Experience working with dietary restrictions or special diets is a plus but not required
