The Dishwasher plays a vital role in the daily functionality of the entire community. They are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of dishes, utensils, pots, pans, kitchen equipment, and the food service area within the skilled nursing facility. This position supports the dietary team in ensuring safe and hygienic meal preparation and service for residents in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.. Food is central to our community and diet is crucial to residents' recovery. A love of seniors and an attitude to provide excellent customer service are required.

Responsibilities:

Operate the dishwashing machine to clean and sanitize all dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchenware Manually wash pots, pans, and large items that do not fit in the dishwasher Follow infection control policies and procedures Assist in receiving, unloading, and storing food and supplies when needed Maintain proper water temperature and chemical levels in dishwashing equipment Communicate effectively with dietary staff Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Ability to lift 30 pounds Ability to walk, stand, or stoop for extended periods of time Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy objects such as carts or furniture. Ability to pass criminal background screening
