Responsibilities

Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods. Maintain a clean and organized dish station, including proper storage of clean items and disposal of waste. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients when needed. Support the kitchen team by bussing tables and clearing used dishes during busy service times. Ensure all food handling and sanitation standards are strictly followed to promote safety and compliance. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for service and catering events. Help with general cleaning duties in the kitchen area, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization. Experience with bussing, food preparation, or banquet service is a plus. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude in fast-paced settings.
