Duties

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly to meet health standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and handling ingredients when needed. Support banquet and catering events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces. Help with general cleaning duties around the kitchen to uphold hygiene standards across all food service areas. Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safety compliance. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service times.

Skills

Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is a plus but not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key! Strong attention to detail when cleaning and organizing to ensure high standards of hygiene. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills for effective teamwork with cooks, servers, and management. Knowledge of basic food handling safety regulations is beneficial. Flexibility to assist with food prep or light catering tasks as needed. A team-oriented approach with a proactive mindset to support overall kitchen operations.
