We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Dishwasher/Cleaner to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are sanitized and ready for use. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and food service, with a strong focus on cleanliness and efficiency. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or catering settings is preferred but not required. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable culinary and hospitality experience while contributing to a high-quality dining experience for our guests.
This is a fast casual dining location with minimal dishes. Overall cleanliness of the location needs to be maintained. Work hours are flexible, but preferrably 6 pm to 9 pm each day or 5 nights per week.
Duties
Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment efficiently
Support food preparation tasks such as basic chopping or assembling ingredients when required
Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including cleaning sinks and work surfaces
Ensure compliance with food handling and safety standards at all times
Assist with catering setups or banquet services during events as needed
Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and recycling to uphold sanitation standards
Mop the floors in the kitchen and dining room area
Experience
Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is advantageous
Familiarity with food handling, cleaning protocols, and kitchen safety standards preferred
Experience with bussing tables or supporting food preparation is a plus
Knowledge of culinary practices or hospitality operations can enhance performance in this role
Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
