Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring a smooth operation in a fast-paced food service environment. This role is essential in supporting food preparation, service, and overall restaurant or hotel operations, contributing to a positive guest experience.

Duties

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dishwashing areas to meet health and safety standards. Assist with bussing tables and clearing plates during busy service times. Support food preparation tasks as needed, including basic food handling and setup. Help with catering and banquet setups by providing clean dishes and utensils promptly. Ensure proper disposal of waste and recycling materials in accordance with sanitation protocols. Follow all safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment. Assist with light cleaning duties around the kitchen and dining areas to uphold cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, catering, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling, cleaning procedures, and sanitation standards is advantageous. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and safety. Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of kitchen operations including bussing, food preparation, or culinary experience is a plus. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in the hospitality industry.
