Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our restaurant operations and providing excellent service to our guests.

Duties

Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients. Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen area to ensure a clean working environment. Support bussing staff by clearing tables and transporting dirty dishes to the dishwashing area. Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use. Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices. Assist in banquet or catering events by ensuring timely cleaning of dishes used during service.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling practices is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds). A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a kitchen setting.
