Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment. This position is essential for ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations. A background in hospitality or culinary settings is preferred, but not required. Evening and weekend shifts available.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by regularly cleaning countertops, floors, and equipment. Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is beneficial. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to help others in the kitchen are essential for success in this role. Must have a Serve Clean or higher level food handler permit from Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
