Responsibilities

Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods. Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all surfaces are sanitized regularly to meet health standards. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing ingredients and supporting the kitchen team during busy service times. Support catering and banquet events by providing timely dishwashing and cleanup services to ensure smooth event flow. Properly handle food items according to safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure quality standards are met. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks during peak hours. Follow all safety protocols related to equipment operation and chemical handling to maintain a safe working environment. Contribute to overall restaurant cleanliness by assisting with trash disposal, sweeping floors, and maintaining organized storage areas.

Skills

Proven experience in food handling, dishwashing, or kitchen support roles within restaurants or hospitality settings. Knowledge of food service operations including bussing tables, basic food preparation, and catering support. Familiarity with cleaning procedures and sanitation standards required in restaurant or hotel environments. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers. Flexibility to support banquet events or large catering functions as needed. Basic understanding of food safety practices and proper chemical handling procedures. Previous restaurant or hotel experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued!
