Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are sanitized and ready for use. This position is essential for supporting our kitchen staff and contributing to a smooth operation in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste as needed. Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as required. Ensure that all food handling procedures are followed to maintain safety and hygiene standards. Help with bussing tables during busy service periods to ensure timely turnover. Support banquet and catering services by preparing dishware and assisting with setup as needed. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the kitchen manager promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness. Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights (up to 25 pounds). Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
