Settlers Bay Lodge is looking for a motivated, hardworking and positive individual to join our team. Must be fast on their feet and possess the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations. As a dishwasher, you can expect to work closely with all other staff members to ensure a positive dining experience for our guests. Reliability is a must.If you want to kickstart your career in the restaurant industry and be part of the behind-the-scenes operations. Note that this role requires working in shifts during evenings or weekends. Opportunity for advancement to other kitchen positions.

Responsibilities

Load and unload dishwashing machine Wash specific items by hand Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues Remove garbage regularly Sanitize the kitchen area Light janitorial duties including sweeping/mopping restaurant and kitchen areas and cleaning restrooms. Occasionally aid prep cooks with various tasks

Skills

Work experience as a Dishwasher preferred Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines preferred Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed Time management skills Attention to detail and sanitation rules Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings
