: The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing GLAR's marketing and communications strategy, ensuring consistent, high-quality messaging and brand alignment across all platforms. This position oversees marketing initiatives, website management, content strategy, social media, internal communications, and performance measurement.
The Director works closely with the Public Relations and Design teams to coordinate campaigns, align creative direction, and ensure unified storytelling that strengthens GLAR's visibility, engagement, and reputation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Communications:
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that support GLAR's strategic goals and annual objectives.
Oversee website redesign, content updates, and digital user experience improvements.
Manage association-wide communications through NoteRouter, ensuring clarity, timeliness, and consistency.
Direct the creation of marketing content, newsletters, email campaigns, and messaging aligned with brand standards.
Coordinate and collaborate with Public Relations staff to ensure consistent messaging in media, press, and public communications.
Collaborate with Design staff on visual assets, campaign creative, and event collateral.
Content Strategy & Social Media
Lead the development and management of a comprehensive content calendar across website, social media, and email platforms, ensuring all communications are strategic, timely, and brand-consistent.
Oversee social media strategy and engagement, including content planning, community interaction, analytics, and paid campaigns that drive member engagement and visibility.
Champion video storytelling as a primary communication tool -- expand GLAR's video presence across platforms through dynamic, high-quality content that showcases events, member highlights, education, advocacy, and community impact.
Plan, assist with script, and oversee video production (in collaboration with Design and PR staff) to create compelling short- and long-form videos optimized for social, web, and digital campaigns.
Establish a consistent video content strategy including style, tone, and publishing cadence that aligns with GLAR's brand and audience engagement goals.
Analyze video performance metrics and adapt future content to maximize reach, retention, and impact.
Internal Communications
Maintain strong internal communication processes that promote alignment across departments.
Draft and distribute internal updates, event messaging, and CEO communications as needed.
Performance Metrics & Analytics
Develop a performance matrix for tracking marketing effectiveness, engagement, and ROI.
Produce regular reports summarizing analytics and campaign results for leadership review.
Use data insights to refine content, improve outreach, and inform strategy.
Collaboration & Support
Partner with the Public Relations and Design staff to support association-wide messaging, campaigns, and brand consistency.
Work with all departments to promote events, education, and membership initiatives.
Manage marketing vendors, consultants, and budgets as assigned.
Other Duties as Assigned
Participate in strategic planning sessions and association initiatives.
Support organizational goals through cross-department collaboration.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital strategy.
Proven experience managing website content, digital campaigns, and analytics.
Strong writing, editing, and project management skills.
Proficiency in NoteRouter, WordPress (or similar CMS), Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management tools.
Experience with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Meta Insights, etc.).
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
Knowledge of the real estate industry or association management preferred.
Skills
Technical Skills:
Proficient in standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, registration platforms)
Working knowledge of platforms like Salesforce, RAMCO, or other association management systems (AMS) for tracking member engagement and event participation.

Bonus Qualifications:
Prior experience in an association, REALTOR organization, or trade group is a plus.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, fully remote position, with occasional travel to Culver City or other locations for conferences, meetings, or events.
Staff Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (PST).
Member Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Reliable transportation is required for off-site meetings and events.
Evening and weekend work may be required occasionally to support events or meetings.
Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the organization's goals and operations.
