Job Description


Position Summary: Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Transfer Admissions is tasked with designing a transfer recruitment, communication, and yield strategy consistent with the mission of Manhattan Colleges and its overall enrollment objectives. S/he will manage the transfer and veterans application process and facilitate on and off campus transfer events. The Director will play a critical role in redeveloping the College\xe2\x80\x99s transfer credit evaluation and communication process in collaboration with. colleagues across the College in academic and administrative offices. The Direct will also identify partnership opportunities between the College and community college, community based organizations, and other affiliations. The Director of Transfer and Veterans Admissions will consistently collaborate with other directors within the College\xe2\x80\x99s Enrollment Management Division to supervise and train professional support staff in all matters relating to transfer admissions goals. Primary Responsibilities and Measurable Actions/Activities, Transactions Performed:

  • Facilitate timely review of transfer student applications and establish a consistent call to action for accepted transfer students to enroll at Manhattan College
  • Attend transfer recruitment events, and coordinate meetings with faculty and administrators at community colleges throughout the fall and spring terms.
  • Establish a transfer enrollment strategy for the fall and spring terms to meet or exceed enrollment expectations bi-annually. This is to include regular reviews of marketing/communication campaigns, as well as the on-campus transfer visit opportunities.
  • In working with the Assistant Deans/Academic Advisors, continue to refine the process for which transfer credit evaluations are reviewed/completed for prospective and accepted students. Increase the speed and clarity in which credit evaluations are presented to students.
  • Develop a recruitment strategy specific to the US Military and Veteran student populations. Promote Veteran student programming, as well as opportunity for an affordable, unique educational experience. Increase visibility of the Manhattan College partnership with the Department of Veteran Affairs and the Post 9/11 GI Bill program and the Yellow Ribbon Award recognition.
  • Facilitate the enrollment operations process for all special programs (including exchange, non-matriculated, and certificate undergraduate offerings).
Additional Information:
  • Valid driver\'s license required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., stand for long hours, and sometimes be exposed to the elements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enrollment management field
  • Understanding of computer applications such as Banner, Slate, and Microsoft Office
  • Management/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree preferred in higher education, business, leadership, related field
  • Bilingual/Spanish a plus
