Ansell is looking for a Director of Sales, Scientific - North America to join our team!
The base salary range for this position is $200,000 to $275,000 USD per year.
Specific salary may vary within this range based on location, experience, and skillset. Candidates may also be eligible for additional compensation and benefits.
About the Role
In this high-impact leadership position, you will play a vital role in leading Ansell's Scientific field sales organization across North America, driving growth, deepening customer relationships, and executing a long-term strategy that expands Ansell's market share in Scientific safety, cGMP/cGLP environments, and PPE categories.
As a key member of the Scientific leadership team, you will guide a talented group of Regional Sales Managers and field sales professionals to deliver strong revenue, margin, and customer outcomes. You will also serve as a strategic partner to Marketing, Channel Sales, Strategic Accounts, and other cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution of business objectives, new product launches, and market expansion plans.
This role requires a proven track record of leading large sales teams, building strategic customer partnerships, developing data-driven sales plans, and achieving measurable commercial success within Scientific, Industrial, or Healthcare Distribution environments.

What your role will be
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Regional Sales Managers and field sales professionals
  • Deliver the annual revenue and profitability budget for the North America Scientific business
  • Analyze market trends and define strategic growth plans that advance Ansell's position in Scientific safety segments
  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with key end users, distributor partners, and industry influencers
  • Direct new product launches, pricing strategies, and promotional programs in collaboration with Sales & Marketing
  • Maximize CRM adoption and data accuracy to strengthen forecasting, pipeline management, and new business execution
  • Develop distributor strategies including budgeting, contact development, and joint business planning
  • Manage regional expense budgets and commission plan communication in alignment with company financial objectives
  • Facilitate collaboration across field selling teams to drive bundling, contract capture, and share-of-wallet growth
  • Provide timely feedback, market insights, and actionable recommendations to Sales and Marketing leadership
  • Ensure consistent, compliant, and customer-centric representation in alignment with Ansell values
  • Adapt to shifting business priorities, new market opportunities, or vertical expansions while maintaining focus on annual sales initiatives

What will you bring to Ansell?
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  • 8-10 years of successful selling experience with demonstrated achievement
  • 5+ years directly managing a sales or marketing team
  • Experience within Scientific, Industrial, or Healthcare Distribution environments
  • Strong business acumen with expertise in financial planning, forecasting, and systems use
  • Proven strategic approach to customer development and territory planning
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to lead in a matrixed environment by leveraging cross-functional resources
  • Strong project management capability with a bias for action
  • Expert understanding of Scientific sales cycles, distributor dynamics, and market needs
  • Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and ability to navigate and resolve conflict
