The Paid Media and Demand Generation role oversees and directs digital marketing operations to build and sustain presence in digital channels, and to increase revenue and profitability. This job supervises professionals and para-professionals responsible for web content creation/marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media marketing.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Guides the development and implementation of digital marketing efforts to build and sustain presence in digital channels and to increase revenue and profitability.
  • Coordinates collection of and monitors content performance metrics, impacts of search engine optimization initiatives, and effectiveness of social media outlets.
  • Directs activities relating to the creation, maintenance, and publishing of digital marketing content for both company and non-company websites and social media platforms, ensuring content and display supports marketing initiatives to meet business goals.
  • Manages and communicates on the effective usage of the digital marketing budget, assists with analyzing return on investment and identifying factors impacting sales, costs, and profitability.
  • Manages performance of digital marketing team through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of high quality digital marketing strategies and engagement, motivation, and development of team.

The Director of Paid Media Operations helps support all tagging, trafficking and campaign management and execution across both paid and owned media at TIAA and Nuveen. This role reports directly to the Head Paid Media Operations and works closely with other members of the paid and social media team as well as the agency, client marketing, key sales stakeholders, technical/development resources and the analytics team in order to create, manage and execute on paid and social media campaign priorities, key KPIs and timing. This role will bridge the gap between the advertising side of the execution with the technology and tracking teams. The role requires an understanding of the digital omni-channel landscape, ability to understand and execute advanced paid media plans and the capacity to guide more complex and sophisticated integrated strategy to exceed goals.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do:
  • Support all paid and social media campaign activation, supporting agency and inhouse media and creative teams to activate digital campaigns (display, video, social, mobile, and programmatic).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams and agencies for campaign trafficking, ad specs, QA and troubleshooting, providing detailed insights and recommendations for improving processes.
  • Test, troubleshoot, launch and optimize advertising campaigns across multiple channels, ensuring timely asset delivery and proper implementations by aligning on all timelines. Effectively communicate the status of campaigns to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on new technologies, market trends and industry best practices and privacy changes as they impact the ad ecosystem.
  • Become a subject matter expert on ad and supporting digital technologies; understanding the ever-evolving media landscape
  • Support marketing analytics teams with daily, weekly, and monthly campaign results.
What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:
  • 6 - 8 years of digital marketing experience, specifically in brand/performance marketing or advertising technology
  • Strong knowledge of multiple digital channels and how they work together (SEM, SEO, CRO, Social, Shopping, Display, Social, CTV, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of related technology and key data elements including segmentation, trafficking, tag implementation, A/B testing, auto-optimization and cross-device integration
  • Adept at managing a range of campaigns across different products, budgets, and target audiences
  • Ability to build relationships with clients and peers
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, specifically around presentations
  • Effective time management and project management skills
  • Prior people-management experience
  • Proficient in G Suite & Microsoft Office
  • GMP experience required with extensive Campaign Manager (CM360) expertise

Base Pay Range: $130,300/yr. - $152,600/yr.

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
