We are expanding our leadership team and seeking a Director of Service to build, lead, and scale our Service Division from the ground up.

About the Role
The Director of Service will take full ownership of the HVAC Service Division. They will have full P&L responsibility, will lead the development of strategies to maximize preventative maintenance agreement contracts, oversee field technicians, dispatching, scheduling, and team leadership. This is a high-impact leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, developing people, and creating high-performing service operations.
You'll lead the development of maintenance programs, emergency service operations, technician teams, dispatch processes, customer satisfaction initiatives, and recurring revenue growth.

What You'll Do
Lead the Service Division
Build the service organization--technicians, managers, dispatch, and support teams.
Implement processes, systems, KPIs, and performance expectations.
Develop and execute service strategies focused on quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Identify, build and oversee service department budget and profitability.
Drive Recurring Revenue
Grow preventative maintenance agreements and customer retention.
Identify retrofit opportunities and value-driven service offerings.
Partner with Sales to support cross-sell and up-sell strategies.
Oversee Service Operations
Manage daily operations across maintenance, repairs, emergency service, and retrofits of commercial mechanical systems.
Optimize technician utilization, scheduling, dispatch, and first-time-fix performance.
Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery and safety compliance.
Build Strong Customer Relationships
Act as the primary point of leadership for key clients.
Resolve escalations and ensure customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
Represent the company at client meetings and industry events.
Collaborate Across the Organization
Work closely with the President, Sales, Estimating, and Construction teams.
Participate in business planning and division growth strategy.
Identify and collaborate with the Sales team on retrofit sales opportunities.
Support marketing efforts related to service offerings and contract renewals.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of service leadership experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical contracting.
Strong technical understanding of HVAC service operations.
Experience building or scaling a service department.
Proven success growing recurring revenue and managing a service P&L.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Alignment with our culture: no egos, accountability, teamwork, customer-first mindset.
Experience in Southern California's commercial HVAC market
Background in developing training programs for technicians
Experience implementing service management software and dispatch systems.
