Summary

The Director of Sales is located on the US east coast works, works mostly remote and will manage all sales activities for our Donor Screening - Nucleic Acid Testing (NAT) accounts within their region in the US and Canada. This includes development of strategies and plans that identify marketing opportunities in a direct market and new project development. The role reports directly into the VP of Diagnostic Sales N.A. The Director analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results and directly manages major critical client accounts and directs the management of all other accounts. This position will lead customer interactions and coordinate with a cross functional team of engineers, technical account specialists, clinical affairs representatives, finance specialists, and marketing teams to plan and achieve revenue and operating income targets. A professional focused in sales as well as a solid background in blood screening and/or diagnostic market is required to be able to fulfil this position.

Your primary responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage strategies and tactics for the achievement of annual revenue targets.
  • Effective use of Budget Allocations and Strategic Planning.
  • Time management skills - Territory planning to strengthen business with current and potential customers.
  • Congress participation and Customer engagements.
  • Effective use and monitoring of T&E.
  • Monitor AR Aging report and ensure customers pay their bills on time.
  • Generate Sales Reports including targeted accounts and activities to achieve sales and operating income targets.
  • Ensure customers adhere to their contract obligations.
  • Ensure customers maintain their Inventory at contractually obligated levels.
  • Generate accurate monthly sales and accrual forecasts.
  • Achieve 100% to plan of annual sales and operating income objectives within the product portfolio.
  • Working knowledge of variables effecting $GM, $GM%, and SG&A.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Optimize communication with cross-functional shareholders.
  • Provide feedback gained through customer interactions to global and regional marketing.
  • Demonstrate excellence in effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Identify competitive accounts and develop plans for successful conversion.

Education and Experience we require for this role
  • Bachelor\'s degree
  • 8-10+ years of related sales/marketing experience and
  • 2-3 years as Director
  • Managed and led a blood screening or diagnostics sales organization
  • Experience in account planning and execution
Equivalency

Depending on area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a bachelor\'s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalence could include 8 years of experience, an Associate\'s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Masters\' degree with 2 years of experience.
