The Director of Sales is responsible for leading the sales effort to drive revenue, maximize market share, and achieve hotel financial goals for Sonesta Select Atlanta Midtown. This role oversees all sales initiatives, account management activity, and business development efforts while ensuring strong alignment between Sales, Revenue Management, and Operations. The DOS will serve as the primary face of the hotel within the local market and will develop strategies that position the hotel competitively across all key segments. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities o Develop and execute the annual sales plan, including goals, action steps, and segment strategies for Corporate Transient, Group, Government, Sports, and Project-based business. o Analyze hotel performance trends (STR, Demand360, pipeline reports) to adjust strategies proactively. o Lead weekly sales and revenue strategy meetings with internal stakeholders. o Maintain strong relationships with the Sonesta brand and regional support teams to leverage national resources. Actively prospect, solicit, and secure new business through outside sales calls, networking, and in-market engagement. Identify key accounts and high-potential segments within the Atlanta Midtown market to drive new revenue streams. Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, chamber meetings, and community organizations. Qualifications: Qualifications o Minimum 3-5 years of hotel sales experience; prior DOS or Assistant DOS experience strongly preferred. o Select-service or lifestyle brand experience is a plus. o Strong understanding of the Atlanta Midtown and surrounding markets preferred. o Proven track record of achieving sales goals and driving revenue. o Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. o Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel CRM/sales systems (STS preferred). o Ability to travel locally for client visits, networking events, and community engagement.
