The Director of Organic Social leads The James Agency's organic social media practice. Reporting to the CCO, this role shapes and executes social-first content strategies that drive engagement, growth and brand affinity for TJA clients. They oversee the Organic Social Team and partner closely with Creative, Video, PR, Paid Media and Account Management to ensure our clients' owned channels deliver measurable impact. The Director will champion the department's growth by fostering creative thinking, driving innovation, and setting high standards for performance.
Own the overall organic social strategy for TJA and its clients, aligning with business and marketing goals.
Lead, mentor, and inspire the social team. Prioritizing professional growth and creating an environment where creativity thrives.
Partner with Account, Video, Creative, and Media teams to ensure social is fully integrated into holistic campaigns.
Oversee development and presentation of strategies, reports, and client deliverables, ensuring thought leadership in every touchpoint.
Support business development by representing organic social expertise in new business pitches and proposals.
Collaborate with Creative, Video, and Account teams to concept and plan social-first shoots.
Ensure shot lists, storyboards, and content calendars are aligned with client strategy and campaign goals.
Attend shoots to direct on-brand execution, platform relevance, and performance-driven creative.
Oversee asset selection and post-production to guarantee deliverables meet quality and strategy standards.
Evaluate and refine department processes, tools, and KPIs to maximize efficiency and impact.
Act as a senior consultant for clients, proactively identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
Scale and shape the Organic Social department into a leading-edge, multidisciplinary team.
Foster a forward-thinking culture that balances data-driven strategies with creative experimentation.
Provide leadership "thick skin" by addressing challenges directly, constructively, and with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Encourage team members to take ownership of their roles while creating space for innovation and professional development.
Represent TJA in industry events, conferences, and thought leadership opportunities to elevate both client work and agency reputation.
