About the Role



We are looking for a Director of Operations who can bring order, structure, and technical know-how to a rapidly scaling startup. This person will own company-wide operations -- from sales handoff to fulfillment to customer success -- and ensure all processes are efficient, scalable, and well-documented.

Beyond traditional ops, this role is hands-on and technical: when systems break or the team hits a roadblock, this person should be capable of troubleshooting issues directly -- whether it's a CRM workflow, warehouse integration, or internal communication gap. You'll act as both the architect and fixer of operational systems that keep the company running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities



Process Improvement & Scalability Audit, design, and optimize operational workflows across departments (Sales, Warehouse, Support, Engineering). Streamline the handoff from Sales to Operations to Shipping to eliminate delays and confusion. Build frameworks for pilot programs -- including tracking, communication cadence, and success checkpoints to convert pilots into full sales. Cross-Department Coordination Create and enforce accountability systems so each team knows ownership, timelines, and next steps. Partner with Sales, Product, and Support to align operational priorities with business goals. Ensure timely communication loops for ongoing pilots, customer feedback, and product performance. Technical Troubleshooting Serve as the technical escalation point for operations when internal teams (or vendors) can't solve an issue. Understand and diagnose issues with connected systems -- CRM, ERP, inventory software, logistics tools, and automation platforms. Collaborate with engineering or IT to resolve persistent system errors or integration gaps. Operational Leadership Define KPIs and reporting dashboards for all operational areas. Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to support growth. Mentor and build operational teams as the company scales.

Qualifications



7+ years of experience in Operations, Process Improvement, or Program Management -- ideally in a startup or high-growth tech environment. Proven track record of building efficient systems and scalable processes across departments. Strong technical aptitude -- comfortable troubleshooting software, integrations, and tools (CRM, ERP, API-based systems). Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to translate technical or operational problems into clear business decisions. Data-driven mindset -- uses metrics to identify inefficiencies and measure improvements. Highly adaptable; thrives in fast-paced, constantly changing environments.

Bonus Skills



Experience with logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing operations. Familiarity with automation tools (Zapier, Make, HubSpot workflows, etc.). Technical background (engineering, IT, or systems integration).
