Responsibilities:
Provide overall direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to patients and residents in a long-term care and skilled nursing / sub-acute care nursing center (all units).
Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of the clinical department, ensuring quality care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and managing and controlling budget, and will provide leadership and oversight of the center's clinical staff and will serve as the Nursing Home Administrator's backup as needed
Qualifications
Associate's degree in nursing (ASN) or above required
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required.
One (1+) years nursing leadership experience required.
Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing / sub-acute care setting strongly preferred.
Must be proficient in the use of a Personal Computer and possess ability to navigate Windows and Microsoft Office programs, Internet-based Applications, and EMR Software.
Requirements:
ENTRY QUALIFICATIONSo Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. o Valid State licensure as an RN (job code 7069). o One to three (1-3) years of management or supervisory experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative or geriatric nursing preferred.o Proficient in the use of personal computer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervises nursing staff and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTMay be required to respond to critical issues on a 24/7 basis. Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers, reach with hands and arms, feel, talk and hear. Employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. In compliance with applicable law, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions for the position.
OTHER REQUIREMENTSParticipates in (or conducts) company-sponsored training to safeguard against improper use and disclosure of resident's protected health information. Monitors and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and state and federal law.
