We are seeking a Director for the Ambulatory Surgery Pre-operative and PACU
departments. This role is well
supported by senior perioperative nursing leaders and is a great opportunity to learn additional
healthcare business skills and principles, including strategy and innovation.
Responsibilities:
Desired leadership attributes for this role include strong communication and
listening skills, the ability to lead and influence teams, communication and relationship
management in an interdisciplinary environment and professionalism.
Qualifications:
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), MSN preferred or equivalent graduate degree
Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
Ambulatory surgery/PACU/Surgical stepdown experience
Minimum of 3 years of progressive nursing experience, with a focus on PACU and/or
AMSU.ICU experience
Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and overseeing
operations.3-5 years of nursing clinical care with Charge Nurse
Minimum of one-year supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership and management
ability
Licensing and Certification Requirements required within 6 months of hireAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Issuing Agency: AHA
Pediatric Advanced life Support (PALS) Issuing Agency: AHA
Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN)
