As we expand our onsite professional graduate offerings to the St. Louis, Missouri area, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Missouri S&T St. Louis Programs to oversee our vibrant graduate professional offerings in St. Louis. This role will be pivotal in driving the growth and success of our graduate degree programs outside of our main Rolla campus, providing an exciting opportunity to contribute to the future of education.


As the Director of Missouri S&T St. Louis Programs, you will be the cornerstone of our St. Louis graduate operations. In collaboration with Missouri S&T's academic departments, you will manage all aspects of graduate program offerings onsite in St. Louis, focusing on recruitment, course scheduling, enrollment, and fostering a strong connection between Missouri S&T and the local St. Louis community. You will also have the opportunity as an Assistant Professor of Practice to teach onsite for one or more Missouri S&T programs based on your background and experience. This is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on the academic and professional trajectories of graduate students while helping the university expand its presence in a key metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management

: Oversee day-to-day operations of Missouri S&T graduate degree and graduate certificate programs in St. Louis, ensuring they run smoothly and meet academic and institutional standards

Recruitment & Outreach

: Lead recruitment efforts in St. Louis, identifying and engaging prospective students through community events, partnerships, digital platforms, and other forms of marketing and outreach

Local Stakeholder Engagement

: Build and maintain relationships and partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to enhance program visibility and attract top-tier student applicants

Enrollment Management

: Working with students and the Missouri S&T academic departments, as needed, during the enrollment process, from application to acceptance

Scheduling & Coordination

: Develop and manage the local St. Louis course schedules and local instructor hiring, ensuring that faculty and student needs are met and that the program runs efficiently

Student Support

: Serve as a key point of contact for St. Louis students, helping to ensure overall student satisfaction

Reporting & Compliance

: Monitor program performance and report on key metrics related to enrollment, retention, and program success

Academic Unit Collaboration

: Work with existing Missouri S&T academic units to develop new onsite St. Louis offerings as required

Teaching

: Provide instruction for one or more onsite graduate programs

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree Previous experience as a unit director or manager providing leadership, administration, and organization, with responsibility for unit success and growth The ability to teach in one of Missouri S&T's graduate programs Strong written, verbal, online, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

----------------------------



Doctoral degree in a current Missouri S&T discipline (for instance, Engineering Management, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Management, or a similar field) in order to support teaching within one or more offered programs Teaching experience Experience in higher education administration, preferably in graduate program management or student services Experience in student recruitment, retention strategies, and community engagement Knowledge of academic scheduling and enrollment processes Familiarity with higher education technologies (learning management systems, etc.) Ability to engage student populations

Anticipated Hiring Range

----------------------------




The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $105,000-$120,000 annually.



Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.

COLLEGE of ENGINEERING & COMPUTING (CEC)

Missouri S&T's College of Engineering and Computing is the largest of three colleges at S&T, accounting for approximately 80% of the total enrollment (about 4,500 undergraduates and 800 graduate students). The college includes more than 170 ranked faculty members who serve in 16 undergraduate programs, all with master's and doctoral equivalents organized into nine academic departments.
