Job Description

WePlay Music is seeking a strategic and creative Director of Marketing, Social Media & Community Outreach to elevate our brand, guide marketing efforts, and strengthen our presence within the community.
This leadership role oversees marketing direction, social media strategy, and community outreach, while collaborating with our external marketing company to execute content and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:



Marketing Leadership

Develop and oversee WePlay Music's overall marketing strategy. Create and manage marketing campaigns for seasonal promotions, new programs, recitals, and special events. Write and design marketing emails and promotional email campaigns (weekly, biweekly, or monthly). Collaborate with the external marketing company on campaigns, content, visuals, and creative materials. Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials. Lead marketing efforts for recitals, ensembles, workshops, and student programs.
Social Media Direction

Set social media strategy and guide content direction for all WePlay Music platforms. Capture onsite content such as photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes footage. Provide content, direction, and brand guidelines to the external marketing company for editing and posting. Monitor analytics and engagement to guide improvements.
Digital Presence (Non-Social Media)

Maintain and update online listings, referral platforms, and teacher profiles. Assist with accurate updates to the WePlay Music website. Ensure all digital content reflects current offerings and events.
Community Outreach and Partnerships

Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community groups, arts organizations, and local businesses. Represent WePlay Music at community events and visibility opportunities. Lead local outreach campaigns, flyer distribution, and collaborative projects. Support promotional efforts for recitals, promo concerts, masterclasses, and public programs.
Internal Coordination and Communication

Prepare monthly marketing, email performance, and outreach reports for the Owner. Create newsletters and internal email updates. Maintain updated marketing materials at the front desk and lobby areas. Collaborate with staff to gather content for marketing and email campaigns.

Education and Experience Requirements



Bachelor's degree preferred in Marketing, Communications, Media, Public Relations, Arts Management, or a related field. Minimum

3 years of experience

in marketing, social media strategy, brand coordination, or community outreach. Experience working with or directing external creative teams or marketing agencies. Proven ability to manage content creation and maintain consistent brand standards. Strong writing and editing skills for marketing materials and captions. Experience in arts, performing arts, or education is strongly preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
