Concentric Corporation is partnering with a leading construction company seeking an experienced
Director of Finance
to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee all accounting and administrative operations.
This hands-on leader will work closely with the General Manager and executive team to guide financial strategy, ensure accurate reporting, and drive operational efficiency across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, proven management experience, and a collaborative mindset to a growing, team-oriented company.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, including long-term strategic initiatives.
Oversee the company's financial performance, Profit and Loss management, and operational analysis to improve profitability and efficiency.
Provide strategic insight through ad-hoc reporting, KPI dashboards, and trend analysis.
Partner with department heads to evaluate and enhance financial decision-making across all business areas.
Manage month-end close activities, including inventory counts, unbilled revenue adjustments, and general ledger entries.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of customer invoicing, accounts payable, and other accounting functions.
Track capital expenditures against budget and provide variance analysis to leadership.
Lead and mentor the Accounting, Administration, Contracts, and Payroll teams, ensuring consistent performance and professional growth.
Support corporate financial activities including audits, acquisitions, integrations, and system enhancements.
Develop, implement, and maintain best-in-class financial processes and internal controls.
Stay current with GAAP, tax regulations, and evolving industry financial practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of finance management experience, preferably within the construction or related industries.
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Demonstrated experience managing accounting and administrative teams.
Strong knowledge of tax regulations, construction contracts, and risk management practices.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to present complex financial data clearly and effectively.
