Job Description

We are a multi-state dental services organization (DSO). Our group encompasses a large number of separate legal entities operating under a centralized management structure, each providing non-clinical services and operational oversight to our 17 affiliated dental practices. We are committed to operational excellence and financial sustainability.

Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and finance functions of the organization, including the accurate and timely preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial packages, revenue cycle / accounts receivable management, accounts payable management, budgeting, financial analysis, tax filings, and all other finance and accounting related activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, including GAAP compliance and multi-company financial consolidations, along with strategic financial planning and operational leadership. This role is both hands-on and strategic, supporting the organization's growth, scalability, and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities



Manage and oversee all financial activities, including the production of financial reports and statements, including multiple consolidations. Ensure timely and accurate month and year-end close processes. Supervise and direct accounting staff, ensuring compliance with best practices and established financial regulations. Develop, maintain, and improve internal financial controls and procedures. Manage budget preparation and financial forecasting. Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for cost reduction. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Assist in formulating strategic and long-term business plans. Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points. Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.

Qualifications and Experience



Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. Advanced degree in accounting a plus. 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience Professional certification, such as CPA or CA - preferred. Expert knowledge of accounting methods and practices, including GAAP. Healthcare, dental, or multi-site service industry experience preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Supervisory/management experience. Detail oriented with the ability to independently manage deadlines. Collaborative mindset that works towards continuous process improvement and efficiency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
