Your Impact as a Director of Facilities




As the Director of Facilities, you will lead the national facilities management strategy for our entire portfolio of 850+ hospitals. You will be responsible for ensuring all hospitals operate in safe, compliant, and efficient environments that support exceptional pet care. This is a high-impact leadership role combining strategic planning, financial oversight, and operational excellence to support our continued growth and scale.

Lead and Develop a National Team:

You will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of eight facilities professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, service, and continuous improvement.

Drive Strategic Operations:

You will oversee all national facilities maintenance programs, including reactive repairs and preventive maintenance, while optimizing our Fexa platform for work order management and analytics.

Manage Financial & Capital Planning:

You will develop and manage the annual facilities operating and capital budgets (over $10M), ensuring financial accountability, accurate forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives.

Oversee Vendor Management:

You will lead RFP processes, negotiate national service agreements, and manage key vendor partnerships to ensure adherence to SLAs and enhance service quality.

Partner Cross-Functionally:

You will collaborate closely with Operations, Real Estate, Finance, and Procurement to align facilities priorities with business goals and support new hospital openings and relocations.

What You'll Bring to the Team



8+ years of experience in facilities management, with at least 3 years in a multi-unit or national leadership role. Demonstrated success managing large, distributed portfolios (900+ locations) and teams across multiple states. Strong financial acumen and experience overseeing operating and capital budgets of $10M+. Proficiency in facilities management software (Fexa preferred), Microsoft Office, and G-Suite. Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor negotiation skills. A deep understanding of leasehold repair responsibilities, asset life-cycle maintenance, and capital planning. Experience in veterinary, healthcare, retail, or other service-based multi-unit environments is preferred.*
Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials are a plus.*
