Director of Development

Purpose

: To increase awareness and revenue through cultivation and solicitation of new and existing corporate partners across Virginia, and to manage statewide cause-marketing campaigns, all in order to meet the annual strategic and financial objectives of the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies for identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major corporate partners who can provide financial and in-kindsupport of the overall program mission, signature events and program initiatives.

Plan and direct new and existing cause-marketing campaigns to include activation of affiliated national campaigns and special initiatives.

Identify, solicit and cultivate foundation support, particularly in the corporate partner space, to include grant writing, tracking and reporting for new and existing corporate foundation partnerships.

Work closely with all staff to coordinate sponsorship, marketing, public relations and volunteer opportunities for corporate partners.

Create content related to corporate partners and sponsors for use on website, social media channels and annual report. Ensure all content related to major corporate donors is updated regularly.

Utilize SOVA tools and databases to develop, maintain and analyze corporate partner prospect list.

Collaborate with the Development Team to prepare and manage corporate partner budgets.

Attend statewide events as required or appropriate/travel required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
