We are seeking a dynamic and strategic

Director of Development

to lead our fundraising, relationship management, and outreach efforts within a vibrant nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in nonprofit management, fundraising strategies, and digital marketing, with a strong background in event planning, grant proposal writing, and CRM software. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the organization's growth trajectory through innovative development initiatives and community engagement.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals, including grant proposals, individual giving campaigns, and corporate sponsorships. Oversee event planning and management for fundraising events, community outreach, and special programs. Manage relationships with donors, volunteers, partners, and stakeholders to foster ongoing support and engagement. Utilize CRM software such as Salesforce and Raiser's Edge to track donor interactions, data collection, and reporting. Lead digital marketing efforts including email marketing campaigns via Mailchimp and social media management to increase visibility and donor engagement. Coordinate public relations activities to enhance the organization's reputation within the community. Prepare compelling proposals for grants and sponsorships; manage grant proposal writing processes from research to submission. Oversee budgeting for development activities ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Conduct research on potential funding sources, community needs, and industry trends to inform strategic planning. Collaborate with internal teams on marketing initiatives utilizing WordPress and other digital platforms. Manage volunteer programs and estate planning initiatives related to philanthropy efforts.

Qualifications

Proven experience in nonprofit management or development roles with a focus on fundraising, relationship management, and strategic planning. Strong skills in event planning, proposal writing, grant proposal writing, digital marketing, email marketing (Mailchimp), social media management, and CRM software such as Salesforce or Raiser's Edge. Knowledge of Wills, trusts & estate law beneficial for estate planning initiatives. Excellent negotiation skills combined with experience in public relations and stakeholder engagement. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Experience working within a nonprofit environment is preferred. Demonstrated ability in research, data collection, budgeting, volunteer management, and estate planning strategies. Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
