They have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Service to join their team. This position is well-suited to a strategic, customer-focused leader who is looking to drive service excellence, strengthen customer relationships, and lead technical service operations across North America. This position is based in the Customer Support and Aftermarket Department and reports to the Vice President of Customer Support. You will lead service strategy and operations, develop and implement lifecycle support programs, and oversee technical support, warranty management, and modernization projects across a broad range of filling, packaging, palletizing, and bulk material handling systems. Responsibilities:
Develop and execute service strategies that align with corporate objectives and drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.
Lead the North American service organization with full P&L accountability, overseeing spare parts, retrofits, modernization, and long-term service contracts.
Oversee all aspects of service delivery, including warranty management, preventive maintenance, and technical field support.
Standardize service processes across installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting for filling, palletizing, and conveying systems (including stretch hood, bucket elevators, hot-material feeders, and overland conveyors).
Ensure compliance with safety regulations (MSHA, OSHA, and petrochemical site standards).
Implement digital tools for predictive maintenance, remote diagnostics, and lifecycle management.
Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing service team while promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Leadership teams to develop service contracts and lifecycle solutions that meet customer needs and enhance long-term value.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
Minimum 10 years' leadership experience in Service or Aftermarket roles within industrial equipment supporting minerals & mining, petrochemical, cement, or heavy industry.
Strong technical knowledge of conveying systems (overland conveyors, bucket elevators, feeders for hot materials) and/or end-of-line packaging systems (stretch hood, palletizers, filling solutions).
Proven record of driving service revenue through spare parts, modernization, and service contracts.
Experience leading large, distributed service organizations with both field and office-based resources.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel up to 50% as required.
