We're seeking a licensed architect with proven design leadership, strong business development skills, and experience managing large higher-education projects ($10M-$50M). This role is ideal for a visionary leader who excels at team building, client relationships, and driving strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and grow the Maryland Higher Education architecture practice. Identify new business opportunities and strengthen client partnerships. Oversee large-scale projects from concept through completion, ensuring design quality and on-time delivery. Guide teams in design excellence, project management, and technical documentation. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and mentorship-focused studio culture. Support recruitment, development, and retention of top architectural talent.

Required Qualifications

Architectural License (NCARB preferred) with

18+ years

in higher education design. Professional licenses beyond Maryland (Southeast/Mid-Atlantic).

LEED AP accreditation

and

SCUP membership

. Demonstrated success in business development and winning new work. Proficiency in design and graphic modeling tools (Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite). Experience managing

$10M-$50M

architectural projects.
