As the Director of Hospitality Services you will lead the charge in creating a truly world-class hospitality experience for every patient, family member, and guest who enters our doors. This leader sets the gold standard for service excellence, bringing together best practices from hospitality, culinary arts, and healthcare to craft an environment where exceptional service is the norm and compassion is felt at every interaction.
This role drives the strategic vision and day-to-day execution of guest services and food services across the organization, shaping the culture, elevating the patient experience, and championing continuous improvement. With a focus on innovation, operational excellence, and high-impact leadership, the Director ensures that Kootenai Health continues to be a destination for outstanding care--and outstanding hospitality.
Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the development and execution of forward-thinking strategies that deliver an unforgettable hospitality experience throughout the organization.
  • Crafts and maintains policies and procedures aligned with regulatory standards and the highest levels of professional excellence.
  • Oversees quality, service standards, performance improvement, process optimization, and business operations with a strong focus on efficiency and excellence.
  • Provides hands-on leadership in daily operations, guiding staff and services to ensure consistency, quality, and a welcoming environment.
  • Identifies training needs and builds innovative solutions to drive staff engagement, skill development, and service culture.
  • Manages the overall hospitality budget with responsibility for financial planning, resource allocation, and ongoing fiscal performance.
  • Completes required training and tackles additional responsibilities with a spirit of collaboration and commitment to organizational success.
Requirements & Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality or a business-related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in food service management, culinary arts, or hospitality; healthcare experience strongly preferred.
