Summary:

The Director of FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) for Americas Cement plays a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of the business. This position involves overseeing the planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of the company\'s financial performance.

What you\'ll be contributing:

  • Financial Planning: Develop and manage the company\'s financial plans, including long-term financial projections, annual budgets, and short-term forecasts. This involves collaborating closely with other regional teams and functional areas to gather data and insights.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on the analysis.
  • Budgeting: Support the annual budgeting process, working with regions and department heads to create realistic budgets that align with the company\'s strategic goals.
  • Forecasting: Create and maintain rolling forecasts to help the company adapt to changing market conditions and make informed decisions.
  • Performance Measurement: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track the company\'s financial performance. Monitor actual results against budget and forecast and report on variances.
  • Cost Management: Manage and analyze the company\'s cost structure, identifying areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvement.
  • Capital Expenditure Analysis: Evaluate and prioritize capital expenditure projects, ensuring that they align with the company\'s financial goals and provide a positive return on investment. Develop and enhance CX reporting for the business and in alignment with reporting requirements for Group and CRH Americas.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders, such as investors or lenders. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations & respond timely and accurately to inquiries.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess financial risks that could impact the company\'s performance and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team to align financial planning with the company\'s overall strategic goals and objectives.
  • Team Oriented: Work effectively and collaboratively with other Americas Cement Finance team members.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate financial information and insights to non-financial stakeholders, helping them understand the financial implications of their decisions.
The Director of FP&A plays a pivotal role in helping the company make informed financial decisions, optimize its operations, and achieve its strategic objectives in a challenging industry. They need a strong understanding of finance, accounting, and the cement industry\'s specific dynamics to excel in this role.

To succeed in this position, you will need:
  • Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc
  • Minimum 4-year degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • CPA, MBA, CFA preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years in financial planning and analysis
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to provide actionable insights.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and industry-specific requirements.
  • Travel up to 15% as needed by the business
