The Enterprise Data Solutions and Engineering (EDSE), a Pfizer Digital organization is responsible for the development and management of all data and analytic tools and platforms across the enterprise \xe2\x80\x93 from research to commercialization and for all Pfizer countries. One of the team\xe2\x80\x99s top priorities is the development of data solutions and products which will serve as the engine for the company\xe2\x80\x99s digital transformation and growth.

As a member of EDSE\xe2\x80\x99s Commercial and Real-World Data (RWD) team, this Director will support business units and digital leadership at the Vice President level and below to develop best-in-class data management, integration, and engineering products. This Director will have product ownership level responsibility for a large and diverse set of products, including but not limited to data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, and virtualized data. More importantly, this direction will be responsible for the design of data products in servicing and accelerating AI, data science, and analytics enablement. This role will significantly contribute to the architecture, design and roadmap for commercial and RWD systems, focusing on data procurement, curation, integration and publishing products, exposing data to the broader Pfizer organization in the products that help them consume and analyze data. This position is a global role with US-based team members reporting to the Director as well teams that will matrix and collaborate with the global leadership. Enterprise Data Solutions and Engineering has consistently innovated for Pfizer. This includes cloud solutions, SAAS solutions, open source, data science, AI, and advanced analytics solutions. Our data management solutions are considered industry leading.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Director, EDSE Commercial and Real-World data, this role will be responsible for delivering data related products

globally.

  • Strategically Partner with Vice Presidents, Sr. Directors and Directors of Business, Analytics and Digital to develop a data product strategy and roadmap for the Commercial business and Real-World Data analytics organizations, focusing on global programs.
  • Create a product-centric approach, expanding the data products, currently with a yearly spend of over $15M.
  • Directly responsible for cross-team collaboration on a global scale that ensure EDSE and its partners are leveraging data technologies and data products to the fullest.
  • Working knowledge of advance analytic, data science, and AI techniques and, apply sensible data engineering principles to create interoperable and fit for purpose data products.
  • Accountable for engineering development of both internal and external facing data solutions by conforming to EDSE and Digital technology standards.
  • Partner with internal / external partners to design, build and deliver best in class data products globally to improve the quality of our customer analytics and insights and the growth of Real-World Data in its role in helping patients.
  • Drive best practices and world-class product capabilities.
  • Lead the growth and development of senior managers, managers, and associates.
  • Establish a culture of high performance, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate outstanding collaboration skills
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of strong multi-discipline experience, with a preference for experience in technology strategy and management, management consulting and product engineering.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required, advanced degree strongly preferred, with preference for advanced degree holders with a focus in strategy, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent project-related experience.
  • 10+ years of related work experience as an established strategic thinker anchored in data and analytics with business acumen and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects and outcomes.
  • Experiences in working with advanced data platform technologies, such as SnowFlake, Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, JS, or other contemporary programming languages.
  • Experiences in data analytics automation and business process automation using AI, ML, low-code, no-code tools.
  • Working knowledge of contextual data management capabilities in supporting context-aware/context driven analytics and AI models
  • Experiences in several managing large and complex products and programs over $5M+ in budget concurrently.
  • Experiences in digital product ownership, including ownership roles such as roadmap, evangelism, development and lifecycle.
  • Must have strong technical skills, ideally from a hands-on engineering / IT background and ability to leverage this experience to define and deliver projects in an agile environment leading to faster, better and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Must be willing to wear many hats and demonstrate cross-functional end-to-end leadership; from strategic thinking and project planning, to solution architecture, development and deployment to resource allocation.
  • Technical Knowledge of cloud based architectures, cloud data products / solutions, and agile methodologies to enable rapid cycles of development and release of data products / solutions (AWS, Azure, etc..)
  • Must show the ability to interact and influence all level of a large digital organization at a global scale.
  • Exceptional verbal, written communication and organizational skills, along with interpersonal skills that allow for collaboration across a diverse group of people.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $156,900.00 to $261,500.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Pfizer compensation structures and benefit packages are aligned locally, the US Salary range provided does not apply to the Tampa, FL or any EXUS locations.
