Business Operations manages various shared support services and enterprise-wide functions to include records information management, business continuity planning, workplace safety and security, travel, food service, staff health clinic, fitness center, parking garage, facilities and real estate management, media operations and print and mail services.

The

Director of Financial and Business Operations

serves as a leader, ensuring financial responsibility and operational excellence across multiple business units. Provides high-level oversight and direction for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, requisitioning, invoicing, contracting, and performance reporting, ensuring all processes are aligned with organizational objectives. Fosters cross-functional collaboration and operational integration by partnering with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, Human Resources, Internal Audit, and Information Technology to streamline workflows, enhance compliance, and support enterprise-wide initiatives. It leads efforts to optimize financial and operational systems,


implement best practices, and identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation. Enables decision making with recommendations based on data-driven insights and robust analytics. Oversee the full financial process lifecycle across multiple sourcing platforms, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and accountability in service-level agreements and key performance indicators.
Responsibilities:
Leads the preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year budgets to actual reports for multiple groups, including the C-suite. Manages financial operations by supporting business units with the preparation and analysis of various financial outputs, to include forecasting, financial planning, month-end, and financial reporting. Leads monthly financial analysis to understand variances of actual results, identifying and quantifying trends that can be expected to continue and one-time impacts. Focuses on efficiency, standardization, automation, and customer service. Drives continuous enhancements to increase adoption, compliance, throughput, and improved cycle times. Documents internal processes and ensures team's compliance and adherence to processes and policies. Leads process improvement efforts by streamlining procure-to-pay workflows through task elimination, simplification, and standardization. Develops and delivers training and communications around processes and policies to increase compliance. Directs financial process functions, including requisitioning and invoicing across multiple sourcing platforms, ensuring seamless integration, accuracy, and performance tracking against SLAs. Manages the Statements of Work review process to ensure alignment with funding availabilityand organizational policies.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field with 10+ years of relevant professional experience in finance, business operations, accounting, or related functions. Expert user of excel and capable to present complex financial data in an easy to consume manner for executive decision making. Demonstrated experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and financial reporting. Proven track record managing complex projects and operations. Prior leadership and management of cross-functional finance and operational teams, with experience in procure to pay processes, financial processes, and internal controls.

Preferred:

MBA or other Masters in a related field a plus. Responsible for managing contracts and budgets of 100M+. Experience with PeopleSoft Financials and Contract Management modules.

Hybrid Work Environment
