Summary

As a Direct Support Professional at Partners Creating Community, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental differences. This position is essential in fostering a safe and stimulating environment that empowers Contributors to thrive.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with intellectual differences in daily activities. Assist with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Implement individualized care plans tailored to each Contributor's needs and preferences. Facilitate engaging activities that promote social interaction and skill development. Monitor health and safety, ensuring a secure environment for all participants. Administer first aid and CPR as needed, responding promptly to emergencies. Collaborate with team members to enhance the overall quality of care provided. Maintain accurate documentation of services rendered and progress notes.

Qualifications

Experience in direct support or caregiving roles, particularly with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to care. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is required; training may be provided if necessary. Ability to lift and assist individuals as needed for their comfort and safety. Familiarity with dementia care or assisted living environments is beneficial but not mandatory. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
