About the Role:

As a Substitute DSP, you will support individuals in their homes and communities, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. This is an on-call, as-needed position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the human services field.

Responsibilities May Include:

Assisting with daily living activities (e.g., personal care, meal preparation, medication administration) Supporting individuals in pursuing their personal goals and interests Facilitating community integration and participation in social activities Providing transportation to appointments and community outings Maintaining a safe and supportive living environment Documenting services provided and reporting any changes in individuals' status

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED (some college or relevant certifications a plus) Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required (we provide training!) Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays3 as needed
