We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. This role involves supporting residents in their daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings, with a strong focus on patient-centered care and compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor residents' health status by taking vital signs and observing patient conditions
Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations
Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition management
Provide personal care including assistance with toileting, hygiene, and mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts
Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including dementia, Alzheimer's, or autism-specific care
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
Support residents in community outings or activities to promote social engagement and independence
Document observations accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient progress or concerns
Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR when necessary
Requirements
Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred
Knowledge of patient monitoring, medication administration, and vital signs measurement
Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are highly desirable
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or hospice care is preferred
Ability to lift heavy loads safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
Strong observational skills for patient safety and well-being monitoring
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a caregiving environment
Compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure resident confidentiality and privacy
Flexibility to work various shifts including days or evenings as needed

Pay: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 - 40 per week
