Requires driving client out into the community
Description: Direct Support Professionals (DSP):
DSP's works directly with people with developmental disabilities to
assist in teaching strategies to live as independently as possible assist an individual with a developmental disability to lead a self-directed life by providing guidance with social skills, advocacy, self-esteem. transport to medical appointments, shopping, errands, or activities in their community if needed and or desired. assist with personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, grooming, preparing meals
Educational Requirements:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
One year in home care experience preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age Valid driver's license in good standing require successful clearance of local and/or state background check Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
