Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs, including developmental disabilities, aging, and health conditions. Duties



Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor residents' vital signs, medication administration, and overall health status in compliance with care plans and HIPAA regulations. Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort. Support residents during meal preparation, cooking, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident spaces and common areas. Observe and document resident behavior, progress, or changes in condition through detailed patient observation and reporting. Implement individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals or social workers to meet each resident's unique needs. Use appropriate techniques for patient monitoring and assist with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's . Respond promptly to emergencies by executing first aid procedures or CPR when necessary; coordinate with emergency responders as needed. Engage residents in social activities or community outings to promote mental stimulation and socialization.

Experience



Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration, vital signs measurement, and Alzheimer's or dementia care. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality in healthcare settings is essential. Hands-on experience with patient observation, monitoring behavioral changes, and implementing care plans is required. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs. Pay: From $18.00 per hour
