Galeron Consulting Agency is a licensed Pennsylvania provider delivering Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) waiver services across Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties.
We specialize in outcomes-driven habilitation services that help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build real-life skills, increase independence, and make measurable progress toward their Individual Support Plan (ISP) goals.
This is not entry-level companion care. Our Home & Community Habilitation services are clinical, structured, and documentation-driven.
Position Overview
The Direct Support Professional - Home & Community Habilitation (510) works directly with participants to teach, coach, prompt, reinforce, and document skill development in home and community settings. DSPs in this role are responsible for implementing ISP goals, tracking progress, and demonstrating outcomes that withstand supervisory and audit review.
This role is ideal for experienced DSPs and human-services professionals who understand the difference between habilitative skill-building and basic assistance.
Key Responsibilities
Implement ISP goals using approved habilitation strategies
Teach and reinforce independent living, social, adaptive, and community skills
Apply prompting hierarchies and fade supports appropriately
Support community integration and functional skill practice
Collect data and complete daily progress notes tied to ISP outcomes
Document measurable progress (or barriers) in a clear, defensible manner
Communicate professionally with supervisors, supports coordinators, and care teams
Maintain compliance with ODP regulations, agency policies, and audit standards
Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet at least one of the following:
Prior experience as a DSP providing ODP or habilitation services
Demonstrated ability to teach skills (not just assist)
Comfort with documentation, data collection, and progress notes
Ability to follow ISP goals and accept ongoing supervision
Reliable transportation and ability to work in community settings
Clear background checks and eligibility to work in ODP services
Preferred / Strongly Valued Credentials
CNA, RBT, or NADD certification
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Human Services, or related field
Behavioral support or skill-acquisition experience
Familiarity with ODP waivers, ISP implementation, or enhanced services
Pay Range
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour, based on:
Experience level
Certifications and education
Scope of habilitation responsibilities
Assignment complexity (Enhanced vs. standard cases)
This position pays above standard DSP rates due to its clinical, documentation-driven expectations.Training & Supervision
