Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide essential support and care to children through Respite Services . The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they assist, ensuring their safety, dignity, and independence. This role involves working closely with clients in various settings, including residential homes, school, and community environments.

Duties

Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and encouraging environment. Support clients in engaging with their communities through social activities and outings. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers. Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy. Document client progress and any changes in behavior or health status accurately.

Qualifications

Experience working with people with disabilities is preferred. Knowledge of patient care practices, including hospice and senior care, is advantageous. Ability to lift clients safely and assist them with mobility as needed. Familia skills, both verbal and written. A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality care. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
