Position Overview

Summit Supports is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This part-time position offers the opportunity to build genuine, lasting relationships while helping individuals achieve their goals and build independence through person-centered support. Support clients through hiking, open space parks, gym, museums, zoo, aquarium, going out to lunch, etc.

Schedule

Part-time position:

Tuesday: 12-3 (flexible on day) Wednesday: 9-3 Thursday: 9-3
Key Responsibilities

Daily Support & Community Access

Provide transportation and accompany individuals to community activities they enjoy Implement individualized support plans and track progress toward goals Foster social skills development and meaningful community connections
Health & Safety

Monitor health, safety, and well-being of individuals in our care
Documentation & Professional Communication

- Maintain comprehensive daily tracking

- Participate actively in team meetings

- Communicate regularly with Summit Supports staff, case managers, guardians, and other members of individuals team

Requirements

Prior experience as a DSP required

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be 21 years or older Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with appropriate liability insurance Ability to lift 50+ pounds Physical capacity to meet the demands of the position Successfully pass all required background checks (APS, CPS, State Patrol, FBI)
- Commitment to working with individuals who may have complex behavioral, medical, or support needs

- Provider tracking requirements

- Mandatory Reporter Training

- Ongoing annual training updates as required by state regulations and Summit Supports standards

Compensation & Benefits

- $20 - $25 per hour
